Jesus - Called to Die
The cross has such enormous significance for us as individuals and for our world. In this one moment Christ opened the path of forgiveness which allows us to be brought back into a right, full and loving relationship with God.
Your Kingdom Come
Jesus is the one in whom the Kingdom of Heaven is revealed and who will one day return to bring its fullness in this world. We are called to join in God's redemptive plan for creation through prayer and worship, justice and compassion, and mission and stewardship.
Jesus - Born to Live
It's fascinating to wonder what Jesus thought about himself as he grew up and discerned his calling. It is through his life that we see God revealed to us, and in his death that we find forgiveness.
Hallowed Be Your Name
Jesus is the one in whom the Kingdom of Heaven is revealed and who will one day return to bring its fullness in this world. We are called to join in God's redemptive plan for creation through prayer and worship, justice and compassion, and mission and stewardship.
Trinity Sunday
The Doctrine of the Trinity may be one of the most esoteric features of Christian theology however it cuts to the core of who God is. When we know God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit it draws us deeper into the mystery of His love.
Unity, Joy and Holiness
In this prayer Jesus gives us some insight into how the Church should behave. Central to this vision is unity - a feature so often missing from Christian relationships. From this flows a lasting joy springing out of a deeper relationship with each other and with God. The outcome of this is the process of become more holy: more like Jesus.
Love Is Not An Option
God's love is wide and boundless, but it's so easy to close ourselves off from others and from Him. If we are to reflect His love to others, we need to set aside our own preferences and pride.
Remaining in the Vine
In the earliest Christians we see a powerful model of spiritual devotion; a model which led to extraordinary growth. In today's reading Jesus declares that He is the True Vine and whoever believes in Him will flourish, grow and bear fruit. What principles can we put in place in our lives to ensure we remain firmly attached to the vine?
Knowing the Shepherd’s Voice
As humans we have a deep desire for relationship, a need to be truly known by another. The good news is that Jesus knows us deeply, intimately, better than we could ever know ourselves.
Missing The Point
Again and again, when people meet Jesus after his resurrection, they don't fully understand who he is. How easy is it for us to do the same! Despite this, Jesus stands alongside us, reaches out to us and speaks a peace that passess all understanding to us, even in the hardest of times.
In the Breaking of the Bread
The eucharist is one of the most important things we have as Christians; it connects us to each other and to Christ whose body and blood it represents. Like the disciples on the Emmaus Road, as we break bread with Jesus we are drawn deeper into an understanding of His identity.
