Doubt is often a tricky thing to navigate in the life of faith, but Jesus calls us to bring our doubts to him: to touch and see his truth. It is in the presence of the risen Christ that we find peace in our confusion and faith in our doubts.

Our faith, much like our lives, is often full of highs and lows. Beside a charcoal fire on the beach, Peter is redeemed from his failures denying Jesus, just days before, around another charcoal fire. The promise of Easter is an invitation to put the past behind us and move forward into new life.

When, like Mary Magdalene, we are confronted by the reality of the Resurrection, it changes everything. For so many of us it is easy to look for Jesus inside a tomb, but the Resurrection calls us to look for Him in life.

In our three hour Good Friday service we had six half-hour blocks, each including a short reflection on one of the things Jesus carried:

- The Cross

- The Crown of Thorns

- A Seamless Robe

- His Followers' Disappointments

- The Sins of the World

- A Broken Heart

When we see Jesus as an inspirational figure it reminds us to imitate Him in our own lives. We may not have many feet to wash, but serving others sits right at the heart of the Christian life.

In the final installment of our Lent sermon series, we pause to consider how we listen to God, be in His presence and hear His words for us.

As Jesus is tempted to test God's work, in our story of Elijah we see how God keeps His promises to us, even when we are tempted to doubt Him.

In the second of our series we explore what it is to trust in God for his provision as well as recognising the importance of tending to our physical needs.

In this new series we will be looking at the temptations of Jesus in the wilderness alongside the story of the prophet Elijah. In this first talk we reflect on the need to make space to listen to God.

As we conclude our series studying the book of Jonah, we see how God’s love and mercy extends to all, whether we like them or not.

Why does God choose Jonah, why does God care about Nineveh? It may be a short book, but Jonah challenges us with a whole lot of questions, and some very uncomfortable answers.

Like the Ninevites we need to see the gap between us and God before we can truly turn to Him as father and saviour.
