All Saints’ Day 24
As we celebrate another year of being All Saints, we reflect on what it means to be called to be a royal priesthood.
The Ark
With the establishment of David's kingdom the Ark of the Covenant found a permanent resting place in Jerusalem. It was to the Jewish people a reminder of the presence and promise of God following them through the history of their nation. In Christ all those promises find their 'yes and amen', He is the fulfilment of the covenant and the presence of God in our world.
Leadership
David was a king after God's heart, though deeply imperfect. However, he points us towards the perfect King, whose heart was perfectly aligned with the will of the Father - Jesus.
Grateful Giving
Generosity lies at the heart of God's mission to the world. As Christians we give in response to the grace and love of God poured out on the cross.
Bold Vision
This Vision Sunday, Donna encourages us to go deeper with God; to boldly push deeper into a relationship with Him.
Friendship
There is so much we can learn from the Bible's greatest bromance. In Hannah's inaugural sermon she leads us to reflect on the importance of friendship and its central themes of sacrifice, loyalty and emotional intimacy.
Feeding on Christ
In the final talk of our three part series, we consider what it meant to feed in Christ through faith. Jesus teaches us that it is through our faith in Him that we are nourished and sustained. When we share the Eucharist together we recognise the centrality of the crucified, incarnate God to our salvation and restoration.
You Are What You Eat
Feeding on Jesus is our only hope for true life, as He is the one who renews and restores the rest of creation. His life is the source of all life.
The Bread of Life
Bread is such a basic life-giving essential that Jesus is able to use the image of bread as a way of teaching us something of who he is. Life-giving. Essential.
