Lectio Divina

Lectio divina (sacred reading) is a form of prayer dating back to the 3rd Century, based on reading and reflecting on the Bible. Lectio divina is not a Bible study; it is a way of using scripture to pause and hear from God, opening ourselves to whatever He is saying to us today.

Each session involves a short video, group discussion and a prayer activity following the approach of lectio divina.

If lectio divina is something you are interested in, you might find it useful to get hold of the accompanying book How to Hear God to dig a bit deeper between sessions.

There is also an excellent, free Lectio 365 app which provides a new lectio divina style reflection every day (available for both Apple and Android).

Our Lent Lectio course has come to an end, but do keep an eye out for future courses.
