ALPHA
What’s my purpose? Is there a God? Why is there suffering?
At ASH we believe it is important to ask the big questions of life, and that everyone has the opportunity to share their beliefs and ideas.
Alpha is a chance for anyone (Christian or not!) to ask these big questions and explore Christianity in a friendly, informal and low-key environment.
Our spring course is now over, but keep an eye out for future events.
What happens at Alpha?
1. Connection
Life is better when we share it. All Alpha sessions start with a free, shared meal, which gives us all a chance to catch up with people we recognise or say hello to new friends.
2. Content
Each session looks at different question of life and faith, involving either a short talk or video. These are not sermons, rather stimuli to kick start the conversation which will follow.
3. Conversation
At the heart of Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion.
